Other Conference boards 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 2
I have seen mentioned that members are reading other conference member boards (or future opponents boards). Are those addresses mentioned anyway? Are they as active as ours?

If I am looking for other team's boards (within our conference and future opponents) I go to Cougarboard.com, they have them listed along the right hand side of the page.

For other conferences, etc., I would just do a google search.

Why fly coach elsewhere when you can fly first class here?

I frequent TCU's fan site 3 or 4 times a week.

Their address is http://www.killerfrogs.com/msgboard/

I think their board is a bit more active in the sense that they have a few more threads, on average, created each day. However, I think the number of people that frequent that board is about the same number that pass through this board on a daily basis.

I've noticed that the TCU fans are quite passionate about their Horned Frogs (as one would expect) and they talk alot about football in the state of Texas. However, I have noticed that they lack a very good working knowledge of the MWC. For example, they are unfamiliar with the different facilities at each school, and the overall tradition of each school. I suppose this should be expected as they have only been in the conference for a few years.

I took a look at them and thought they were pitiful--not very active. Maybe because their teams are not as good or maybe their teams are not as good because of the fans. They need help to generate some excitement and to improve their programs.

Wow OLB, you weren't kidding! I took a browse over to the TCU website and they're obsessed with getting into the Big 12. Doesn't surprise me, but then they make claim to have the best facilities in the country. I almost fell off my chair laughing. I mean, it's admirable that there does exist a rabid fan base but some of their claims were just insane. You can't have the "best" facilities when your basketball arena holds less than 10K and your football stadium (your flagship and your claim to fame) holds less than Rice-Eccles and is filled just about as often. Sheesh.

Karma to you, OLB, for your valiant efforts of defending the blue and white.

Post edited by: cougarblue333, at: 2007/07/31 01:54
