Hey, I am not at all afraid of the home opener against Arizona, but the first road game against UCLA terrifies me. I think I am going to make the trip to the Rose Bowl, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any reasons for me that we should be afraid of the Cats? More importantly can anyone give me a glimmer of hope against the Bruins?

I learned on my mish that I couldn't convince anybody of anything for the sake of convincing them.

I have us down as losing to UCLA, but I think it will be a good game and that we will come away with valuable lessons learned for those who need them - like an in-experienced QB for example.

Post edited by: shakeNbake, at: 2007/08/10 13:01

You have nothing to be nervous about. BYU is basically supposed to lose that game, so, in a way they really have nothing to lose. If they play tough (which with Bronco's coaching style they will do no matter what) and lose, oh well, at least they didn't lay an egg against UNLV. If they win great. BYU has every chance of winning that game.

UCLA on the other hand has everything to lose. If they lose to BYU they'll be perceived as awful.

Arizona is the game to be nervous about. If BYU is "back" and wants to reestablish themselves as more than just another MTN west team they have to beat teams like arizona that have been bad the last few years. PK says it almost every day, there is no excuse for loosing to Arizona, just freakin win baby.

Hey,

UCLA lost their starting RB with an ACL tear. Even with him, they are not going to be that great.

Nice to see Airass out in about. I guess the one week he gets let out he spends here, instead of the ranch

Congrats to Jason and his new wife. Not the best timing for a honeymoon, but best of luck to him this season!

Did you hear the interview Max Hall did for 700 AM where he interviewed the O-Line??
The two highlights were where he asked Sete Aulai what he wanted to say to all the women who wondered what it was like to have Max Hall touching his butt so much, and Sete said "have them call me!"

The real bonus of the interview was when Max asked Jason about his new wife and if he had rubber legs in practice and Jason said something to the effect of "Yeah, I've got two-a-days at home now too."

It was a fun interview (thanks to Hans Olsen for setting it up) and it was fun to hear the guys just having fun and laughing with each other.
