I'm from Houston and I'll tell you if people are in the stadium now it won't be ready for Saturday. Why? number one, some, if not many, of those in the stadium have lost their homes. They need to be relocated and that takes time. Second, you've got a clean up operation in the stadium and that takes time. It may take weeks to get the stadium ready for football. The stadiums in Houston and New Orleans are two examples of what it takes to recover.

unfortunately, in the real scheme of things, where the game is played is very small potatoes ... especially when you start talking about people being housed there because they have lost everything. What a sad thing. Let's all keep them in our prayers ...

As of a couple of minutes ago there is still no answers to if the fires will postpone the game.

I'll preface this by saying that I have absolutely NO information relevant to official word on the game this weekend but if you ask me and you watch the news, there is NO WAY this game is going to be played in San Diego this weekend. Will they move it? Who knows but the situation looks heartbreaking down there in San Diego right now. Thoughts and prayers need to go to so many down there....

Anyway, not to be too flippant, but on the BYU official release, there is the following graphic, which must be one of the worst graphics I've seen from an official source. Look at both the helmets--SDSU hasn't worn that helmet since 2000, while the BYU helmet is bass-ackwards (actually, someone was lazy and did a mirror image of a correct helmet, which doesn't work with an asymmetric logo). Normally, I wouldn't be so picky, but this is coming from an official source.

Situations like these make you realize how insignificant football really is in the grand skeem of things. My prayers go out to those who have lost their homes.
