Screw UCLA in Las Vegas 7 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: -8

The Bruins are the PAC-10's 6th bowl eligible team, now at 6-5, with one game left to go against USC. UCLA is scheduled to likely play in the Las Vegas Bowl. If that happens, I hope that BYU turns down a bid to play there. We played them already this year and play them again next season.

Places we could go instead-

San Diego vs Navy
Fort Worth vs Mississippi State
New Mexico vs Fresno State
Texas vs Houston
Boise vs Boise State

I thought the Las Vegas gets the Pac-10 #5 team, not #6. I bet we play Oregon St.

I may be wrong, but Mars is predicting two pac ten teams going to BCS bowl games, probably USC and Arizona State. If that happens, we would then get UCLA by default because they would move up the ladder

Can a team turn down a bowl invite? I mean, I'm sure they can, but would another bowl invite them?

Oregon State would be a neat matchup for this ex-oregonite

I wouldn't worry about it. The LV Bowl doesn't get the 5th place team, it gets the fifth PICK. That's very different. If it doesn't look like a good matchup, then someone else will be invited. And BYU vs. UCLA is not a good bowl game matchup.
