So i'm already starting my annual anxiety attack about the Utah game so i gotta think of something else. I need to get this one thing off of my chest. I cannot stand Todd Christensen as the color man on the Mtn. He says the same things every week and it is sad that he is on their lead crew. Bates is actually pretty good in my opinion, but Todd Christensen tries to be a wordsmith and sound super intelligent. He does know football better than me and if he stuck to that i'd survive, but does he think he's being impressive by using big words? Please stop! They aren't even that big. You can tell that he is just salivating to say the word proverbial cause it comes out a couple of times a game. Also, his jokes aren't funny, ever.
My solution is to have blaine fowler team up with James Bates. I think that they have been together before and they seem informative and entertaining.
P.S. The sideline reporters are horrible, Toby Christensen actually isn't that bad, but sammy has got to go.
I know this has been talked about but at least it distracted me for a minute.
Oh come on...you know Sammy is a little hottie. She's the "proverbial" eye candy that every broadcast team has on the sidelines. Look at Holly Rowe for ESPN/ABC.
I agree with all of you, though, that I can't stand Todd Christensen, acting all intellectual. Not sure I care too much for James Bates, either, but at least he's better than Todd. To play devil's advocate for a minute, however, you have to admit that this is a young network that will go through some growing pains before (if) it gets better. Look at how hokey ESPN was when it first started. Look at some of their programming. Look at their announcers. The Mtn. will learn and they will eventually get better announcers in there, I'm sure.
