You consider 11-2 Oklahoma team ranked 7 in the AP and 10 in the BCS "not highly thought of" and compare them to a 8-3 #19 Pitt team?

Why wouldn't the fiesta bowl want to be "that bowl game"? "that bowl game" is the only bowl anyone remembers from last year, and add BYU to the mix with a much larger fan base than the donkeys or the yoots, and your TV ratings will be pretty good.

That is a lot of the reason I am really hoping that hawaii gets beat by washington. I'm pretty sure that if they end up in the BCS they will be seriously embarassed, and that may hurt other non-bcs teams chances in the future.

I guess what I meant was that they lost late season which is kind of a credibility killer and that the Fiesta Bowl against a non BS team was sort of a booby prize and if it hadn't finished the way it did it would have been the least regarded of the games (kind of like Utah vs Pitt) along with the least watched outside the boise valley
