Mauga is a D-lineman, 4 star JC all-american. He will be here in January and will have 8 months to compete with Denney and Jorgensen.
Chambers isn't out of the picture, but its not looking good. He now has Purdue as his #1 choice and BYU as his #2. I am fairly sure he is waiting until signing day to decide, and is coming to BYU's big official visit in January. He would be a great addition and tops my list of guys I want to see come to BYU.
As to how many scholarships are left, depends on a lot of things. How many of the guys are going straight on missions? How many are returning from missions? How many graduate? How many freshman are leaving on missions? BYU's recruiting is a logistical nightmare, but I'd guess there are 3-4 more.
The UFC fighter is Jadon Wagner, brother of Aaron Wagner who graduated last season. Wagner was that big a few months off his mission. He is apparently very fast and a little bit crazy, a good combination at ILB. He was getting reps with the 1s in spring before getting hurt (Linsfranc foot injury.) Im guessing he will be starting or sharing time at ILB.
