My point is there are many factors that go into who wins a game and who loses.
For example: Where did BYU play UCLA? Where did Utah play UCLA? Where did BYU play Utah?
UCLA beat a young BYU team, in Pasadena. Early in the year, when our best skill players were acclimating to Division I football, (Collie, Pitta were returned missionaries & Unga, Hall had never played a college game prior to this year) UCLA jumped ahead on BYU and the Cougars fought back, but the comeback fell short.
We have now won nine straight. We are a different team, a better team. Win or lose, UCLA will not be facing the same BYU team they played in September.
My second point is, we had the #2 ranked team in the nation lose to unranked teams six times this season.
Our current #1 ranked team (Ohio State) got their #1 ranking by beating only one team that is currently ranked (Wisconsin). The ranking system is a sham!
