I really hate seeing a mobile QB run all over our defense.

Some of our previous experience with backups has not been good. I'm not willing to assume that starting a backup spells doom for UCLA.

Normally, i'd agree with you. But this guy has already played some, and was just awful. He was pulled against hapless Oregon in the first half, after he was terrible, not completing a single pass. The opted to finish the game with an injured Ben Olson. Now, you've got to think that he has to have *some* talent, or he wouldn't be on a FBS level team. But still...i've seen some bad college football players.

Maybe he's like John Beck. Maybe he has talent, but when thrown in as a freshman, he's awful. In four years, he'll be good. Who knows...

But not this year!

They will now be starting a walk-on QB who is 17 of 44 on the season. He isn't a threat except on the ground. If BYU can leave a LB in to spy we shouldn't have any trouble with him.

He's a 6-4 212lb WR turned QB so of course he will be a mobile QB threat to BYU. Other than that, hes not much of a threat at all.
