We played a gimped UCLA team on a relatively home field stadium. 99% of the time Horvath gets that fg. We are very very lucky, and I'm very very happy, but we played poorly on offense and defense in the second half. When you're up against a freshman qb, he cannot get comfortable like he did towards the end of the game. He should be like a deer in headlights and instead grew up a bit.

This game was about a C- for BYU and I'm disappointed the team didn't show up.

I'm so relieved we won, but the offensive play calling was a fiasco and I don't care how much you trust your running backs, you don't hand off with 20 seconds left when you know UCLA would have been content to go to half, letting the clock run out. That touchdown at the end of the 1st half carried UCLA through the 2nd. I wouldn't have been surprised had UCLA not scored there, if they started to lay down in the 2nd half.

Anyone that thought that Robert Anae would be approached for head coaching jobs needs to check their heads after this game.

The pros- our stars Unga, Hall, Oline- etc. have a lot to work on during the spring and fall and this will give them good reason. I'd much rather learn a lesson with a W than an L so thank goodness it was a W.

I will miss Bryan Kehl as much as any BYU player since Ty Detmer...and whatever team Kkehl lands with in the NFL will be my 2nd fav team behind the 'Boys.

Maybe in a week or so, I'll be happier it turned out this way, but right now I still feel sick about this game. We played poorly against a pretty mediocre team with a very very good defense.

fun game to watch the end of. Can't say I'm all that thrilled with a 1 point win of a 6-6 team though. BYU really should have throttled UCLA, but their offensive line couldn't stop anyone. It's a good thing UCLA loses Bruce Davis and about half of their defense for BYU's game with them in provo next year.

I am much more thrilled than I would be if we had lost by 2!

Big Win, even when they don't play their best you find a way to win.

12-2, 10 wins in a row, avenging the earlier loss to UCLA. Life is good!

I will forgive Anae since BYU won and I am sure he learned his lesson on that one. B)

We are actually 11-2! We've only played thirteen games. Not fourteen. But we still have another ten game winning streak!:woohoo:

THe Utah game was soo good, I counted it twice! But you are right!

This does set BYU up for next season riding a 10 win streak and returning their offense.

I give credit to UCLA. Walker had his defense humming tonight and they were all over BYU. They were rested and it showed. They were relentless. I think they played better defensively this game than they did the first time around. BYU earned this win and were a bit lucky, but chance favors the prepared and Bronco still has his warriors well prepared.

RISE AND SHOUT THE COUGARS ARE OUT!

I agree! It wasn't pretty but I'll take it! It gives us a heck of a lot more momentum going to then if we would have lost! Yes we were lucky! But better to be lucky then good sometimes! I jumped off my couch when I saw they missed it. I though we got a hand on the ball but it was going to go thru. I was throwing my fist because I was so happy!

It says a lot for this team when they can pull out the close games.
It is a lot harder to win by blocking a field goal in the last second than win by the kicker missing a field goal.

This is BYU's win no matter what any of you say and I am proud of our boys in Blue!!
