Bronco is setting up expectations from fans that he won't be able to deliver. Talk about wishful thinking! Who is he kidding with all of this ridiculous talk about going undefeated next year with a BCS berth? Reality is that BYU only went up against two good, injury-free QB's all year (Paul Smith and Kevin O'Connell) and both times, got lit up. They were beaten early in the year by C-USA power Tulsa and a UCLA squad that got annihalated by Utah and the Cougs started 1-2, UNTIL... conference play, when they road became much easier with mediocrity as weekly opposition. Then, it took a minor miracle on 4th and 18 to overcome the Utes in Provo and they struggled to beat UCLA in the LV Bowl, even with the Bruins fielding a 4th string QB, where it took a blocked field goal to preserve a 1 point win, yet, Bronco and the BYU fan base are talking about perfection and busting the BCS next year??? Come on... get real already... enough with the nonsense!!

Have you ever seen the movie "Miracle" about the US olympic hockey team? If you haven't, you should. A part I especially like is a quote from coach Brooks. When Brooks was hired as HC he voiced that he wanted to beat the Russians. Everyone thought he was crazy and someone said, "That's a pretty lofty goal." Brooks replies, "That's exactly why I want to pursue it."

The odds that the US olympic hockey team would beat Russia and win the gold medal were a lot worse than BYU's odds going undefeated next year! You should praise a coach that's pursuing lofty goals! Go Bronco and go Cougs! Here's to hoping we go undefeated next year and reach out goal, whether lofty or not!

How would you know, you rarely speak it!!!! You've been proven wrong over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again and you wanna talk "truth?" You swallowed some pill, it sure had nothing to do with "truth."

Look at it another way-we were a couple of plays away from being 13-0 this year!

I hate looking at things that way. While it is true BYU was close to beating Tulsa and UCLA (the first time), they were just as close losing to Utah and UCLA.

It's funny how things even out. BYU was somewhere between a 13-0 and 9-4 team on just 4 or 5 plays. 11-2 is about right.

Actually, I think Airwolf is right. We should just forfeit our 2008 non-conference games right now to avoid any possible injuries...

Here is the beauty of Wolfie
He writes,
"They were beaten early in the year by C-USA power Tulsa and a UCLA squad that got annihalated by Utah..."
then in the SAME sentence (he didn't even make it to a ".&quot, writes "UNTIL... conference play, when they road became much easier with mediocrity as weekly opposition."

That is called having your cake and eating it too! Nice job wolfie!
I just wish Bronco could bring in some actual talent to the team instead of those less athletic and slow players that he does get. Maybe some players that top BCS schools might be interested in. But alas, it shall never be. Utah on the other hand....
