kick Max Hall off the football team and out of school if his Bishop and/or Stake President were of the opinion that he wasn't attending church enough or asking for callings?

I think we all know the answer. Why? I think we know the answer to that too.

You're asking the wrong question. The question isn't would BYU or the football team kick him out. The question is would a bishop rescind an ecclesiastical endoresment if it were Max Hall. If the EE is withdrawn the decision has already been made and there is nothing BYU nor the football team could do.

The "bad guy" in the baseball situation is not BYU nor the baseball team nor the Honor Code office, but rather the bishop who withdrew the endorsement as he has the final say-so.

And yes, I do believe that even if the decision were with BYU and/or Bronco Mendenhall they would kick him off the team and out of school if the EE were withdrawn. Bronco is a man of his word and expects his players to be as well. Part of attending BYU is maintaining an EE. If your bishop feels you're not living up to that and pulls the EE then I fully expect Bronco to say, "The player did not live up to his end of the bargain."

I would also hope though that any withdrawl would be preceded by a warning to be more active and a full attempt to make sure the player is making a full effort to be active.

Well said. Karma to you. Now let us not let this turn into an Airwolfe thread!

Pretty weak premise, too, since Walton was arguably the Max Hall of the baseball team.

Don't imply that we are as stupid as you by grouping us together with "we all".
