Business just happens to take me to Indianapolis for the next 10 days, and there are combine posters all over the place. Does anybody know if the public is able to get in to the combine, and if so, is it worth going to?

Poppinga is sitting at home in San Diego, Im sure he'd love to be at the combine too.

Here is his listing, not sure when they'll post his stats.

Kehl needs to show good speed (4.5) and strength to get selected in top 10 LBs.

I'm glad you posted a link to those bios. I'm betting not many people have perused the analyses yet, but for those looking for a chuckle, pull up Colt Brennan's analysis and look at who they say he best compares to at the next level. That one will have me smiling all through the weekend.

Nothing like being compared to the concensus pick as the worst number 1 overall pick in a decade, if not longer.

Was Ryan Leif the #1 pick or just the first QB selected in his draft?

I know he went ahead of some guy named Peyton Manning. Washed up old Tennessee QB. What has he done lately?

Peyton Manning went first, Leaf went Second

Yeah, if Leaf would have been picked before Manning it would have gone right up there with the worst move in sports draft history. Selecting Sam Bowie ahead of both Olajuwon and some guy named Jordan. My blazers have still got to hear about that one.

Even with how terrible Smith is, he still might not be the worst #1 in the last decade but it is close. In '99 Tim Couch was the #1 pick and he was out of the league after a few years.

Hard to really call Tim Couch a bad selection. He was drafted into a chaotic expansion Browns club, and the offensive line he played behind could have been the worst in the history of the forward-pass. How many NFL starters do you know who have suffered separations to both shoulders, torn rotator cuffs and a broken leg all in a 3 year period.

Tim Couch not making it was more bad-luck and bad protection than anything. He did lead the Browns to the playoffs and throw for 3000+ yards in 2002, but he missed the playoffs and most of 2003 when he broke his leg in their last regular season game.

His arm has never recovered from surgery following his second rotator cuff injury in 2004, and with the cloud of his HGH use hanging over him, he's pretty much been blacklisted.

Nevertheless, it's hard to feel sorry for him while he is rolling in his NFL dough with his Playmate of the Year wife.

Slight correction. Olajuwon went 1, then Bowie, then Jordan. Blazers didn't have a shot at Olajuwon and they already had Clyde Drexler at the two, so they went with a big man. Obviously hind sight being 20-20, you tell Drexler to go pound sand, and take Jordan, or play Jordan and Drexler together.

That would have been something. No matter how good Pippen was with Jordan, a Drexler/Jordan tandem would have been sick.

Playing the what ifs, what if the Jazz had been able to keep both Magic Johnson and Dominique Wilkins when they had the chance to draft both??? (Of course, they'd never have had Malone and might have passed on Stockton.)
