From Allen Wallace's article on John Martinez I read " ... Although John Martinez says he doesn't care about a program's location, he admits preferring to leave his home state of Utah, despite growing up a fan of both BYU and Utah. "BYU is only about 35 minutes away and Utah is like 10 minutes from here," he said. "I've lived here all my life and I'm honestly getting a little tired of it. I still have BYU in my top five...but I'd like to move away..."

I could be wrong, but I'm certain I've heard very similar words coming from another big-time recruit. Do any of you remember which recruit it was and where he ended up?

I could be spelling his name wrong but I thought it was the running back named Shakrin or something. He ended up going to Utah IIRC. Which I think is still in the state of Utah...
