QB stats don't bode well 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I was checking out the stats http://www.cougarstats.com/lists/ratingseason.html
of the best qbs in our history, and without exception, from what I could see the passing efficiency rating of every one of them went down their senior year. Now I like Hall and am sure he will be much better, but the numbers for next year seem like they will be very good, but the following year will not be as good.

Strange numbers

Oops, Detmer's soph was his best by the numbers, but his senior year was better than his jr. But he seemed better the year he won the heisman.

If I"m reading your chart right it looks like Sarkesian's numbers went way up his senior year (and my memory of his senior year would confirm that). Also, I know Beck had much better number his senior year. I don't think we've seen anything to indicate that Hall will be worse next year.

Agreed. I am not sure your numbers are agreeing with your premise that it should be down hill from here for Hall.

Hall will get better, if he keeps working hard and if Bronco keeps expecting alot from him.

No way..

and I was not trying to presume doom. It was just very surprising to read. As I recall, Beck who is not listed in the top of the efficiency charts, did much better which brought him such national attention. I think the qb for byu is critical as for every top team. Many years ago nfl miami won the sb with dilfer. Grossman won in Chicago. byu won with bosco. It is not the only way to win, but I like Hall and his competitiveness. It just surprised me with the stats to see such a drop off.
