What about the University of Utah "fighting sacklesses"

Honestly the worst is UC Santa Cruz "Banana Slugs"

While were knocking original names why don't we knock a few overly used cliche names. Wow!!! the tigers, the hawks, the wolves, the bears -- these took a lot of thinking. Sounds like were getting merit badges.

I don't remember which school but wasn't there a caveman mascot somewhere in Utah? What a distinguished, upstanding mascot to get behind and go fight win...

I still like beet diggers the best.
