Dennis Pitta--

So I think a lot of us have forgotten that last year, like collie, Pitta was fresh off of a mission. He was great last year, but I think that there is no way he could have been at his best at any point during the season.

Now that he has been back for a full year he should be incredible this season. Also, with Soto switching to d, that means he will be on the field more.

I think Pitta will be huge for us next year, and I think we've only seen a glimpse of how good he can be.

BYU's offense should rock for the next two years. We keep the same big time receivers, qb and running back for the next 2 seasons!

And, unless he redshirts, we add back McKay Jacobsen in 2009 while Hafoka and Ashworth will likely enhance the receiver corps as well.

I totally agree with you Hengst. Pitta did a great job last year, but there is now way he hit his prime. I too agree that he will be nothing short of amazing the next two years

Gonna be exciting!

Losing the OL after this season will take a toll but I think we'll still rebound enough to pull of an undefeated season in '09. Hopefully the coaching staff gets the underclassmen lots of reps against the MWC cellar dwellars to get them ready to take over.

Best Pitta moment was his front flip over two defenders into the endzone for the last touchdown of the regular season. It was crazy to watch--especially live! I couldn't wait to see the highlights!

If he can move forward from there into this coming season, we're in for some lights-out ball!

I am pretty sure that it was in Cruiser's cougar legion post where he talked about how impressive Pitta has been. Something about running like a wideout, vice grips for hands and winning all of the jump balls.
