It just means that they'll be better prepared when it really counts-the D had struggled all spring long and finally started playing better, of course with acceptions to stopping the run and long bombs-it's not crowtonish failings, just getting timing, skills, and consistency down...by the spring game and fall camp, Mendenhallism will spread vastly from the vets to the fill-in replacements.
