Just a question after reading a few articles lately, but does Kurt McEuen have a legitimate chance at becoming the backup QB over Gaskins?
On Tuesday, the
Deseret News quoted Brandon Doman as saying, "Kurt has been in the program for two years and he has really done a good job this spring; I've been really happy with him. He'll be a real good third quarterback and someone to pressure Brenden for the backup job."
Then today on byucougars.com[/url] there was a report that said "For the second day in a row, the defense held Kurt McEuen and the second team offense," and "Brenden Gaskins led the final set, but it ended on an early third-and-out."
Does the fact that McEuen has quarterbacked the second team offense while Gaskins has been doing final sets for a few days in a row mean anything? Or are they just trying to get McEuen more reps with the second team? Toughts from anyone in the know?
