2- Finish in the Top 5
3- Absolutely DESTROY the utes! Thats one thing I miss from the 80's were the old fashion butt whoopings we would hand the Utes. I would like to shut them out at their place and put up 70 on them! (But we have to put up 49 by halftime and just run the ball with third stringers in the 2nd half for 21 more points so we are doing it with class instead of kicking onside kicks like our counterpart Kyle would do).

Bonus wish: Our trashing of the utes this year leads to the firing of Whittingham and their A.D. and sends their program into disarray for the next few years which quiets their loudmouthed fans for awhile.

Well those are some pretty heafty wishes. I would like all of them to come true, but I would like to see Whittingham stay there at Utah. He needs to drive the football program there even more into the ground.

Haha, agreed. I'd be fine with just one of the first two but if I had to pick, I would choose the first, which may or may not help us achieve the second. But keeping Whit up on the hill as long as possible is preferable so that he can keep coming up with clever comments that we can discuss in this forum. Comments like "Our offensive line has been sackless all year".

I like the three wish idea. Against all odds, and please don't accuse me of being a "realist" because I'm frr from that. Maybe I'm just easier to please than some. I would be really happy with the following:
1) No losses because of stupid mistakes (ie. drops, missed kicks, penalties, etc)
2) A butt whoopin' on the Utes at their place so they'll quit saying we got lucky the past two years when the fact of the matter is they got lucky to have even been in the games (esp. last year) in the first place, not to mention their "luck" in OT the year before those)
3) A season ending bowl win. Ideally in the BCS, but if not...at least a convincing vicotry that will set up the next season with Collie, Hall, Unga, Pitta, and Jacobson flying around on offense absolutely destroying teams.

While I hope for Undefeated at BCS and National title talk I just hope we continue to rise and be consistent.

The 80s are a forever ago. There won't be many "butt whuppins" because there are just too many good players, too many good coaches, too many good programs. With all our great recruits doesn't make us better than everybody on our schedule. BYU's strength is it's coach, it's character and it's scheme. Yes we have some great players, but so does every other decent football program.

BYU will win because of several intangibles, not just because we have better recruits.

My apologies for nitpicking, but your first wish is really two wishes!

I wish the same, they go undefeated with a BCS bowl victory. I think they will be in the top 5 easily if they do that.

Destroying the utes is a standard wish, much like blessing the food at meal time.

I like Whittingham at Utah, he keeps them mediocre with glimpses of greatness they will never achieve. ANd he's a BYU grad, which makes it seem like BYU controls the utes both on the field and in through their coaching. Any success they have is because they have a BYU player coaching them. Hope that makes sense.

Football season won't get here fast enough!!!
