i disagree that max hall is the better qb. johnson put up huge numbers his sophomore year and led the nation in total offense. hes the best all around qb in the conference hands down. great runner, great decision maker, and most of all he can carry his team when needed. no disrespect to hall whatsoever, i think he is good. johnson is just more entertaining to watch and i think has more of an all around edge of being better IMHO. and johnson will not lose his last home game at utah to byu, i can guarantee everyone on this board that. i know the guy and hes told me that.

also bsu fan.......when was the last quality regular season win for you on the road in a bcs conference (excluding fiesta bowl, it s not a road game). i remember a 48-13 blowout loss to a horrible georgia team.

I don't even know where to begin...

I love the idiots that think by saying they guarantee something that it automatically makes it so. How, is my question? How does he guarantee us all that Johnson won't lose to us next year? What an idiot...that's about all I've got to say about that.

Go Cougs!

Fine. He can guarantee things all he wants. But he's still not a better quarterback then Max. Max played on a seperated shoulder and still played better then Johnson when he was healthy! Go cougs! Most Puke fans are idiots!

They're different style QB's and I don't think you'd be in a bad situation in picking either of the two. I think Hall is a better passer, but I think Johnson is overall a better athlete. I like athletic QB's that you have to worry about not only passing, but running as well.

I'm happy with Hall, but if Johnson were in our camp, I think the offense could adapt to have success with him as well. That goes to say that a lot of the QB's success has to do with the supporting cast and that's why Hall appears to be a bit better than Johnson--BYU has a better supporting cast.

What I do love the most of both guys is I like Hall's attitude of determination sprinkled with just a dash of nasty.

My problem with Johnson is that, although he is a good athlete (when not "injured", he is not a leader. He doesn't have those intangibles that make the good athletes great QBs. On the other hand, Max Hall, who may not quite be the athlete that Johnson is, is a leader and will therefore always be a better QB.

If Johnson can stay (or get) healthy this year, and that is a big "if", I think he could have a good season. But one good senior season does not a great QB make.

Utes still suck either way.

It doesn't matter if you lead the nation in total offense and don't lead the nation in scoring.
