Jake Locker doesn't have a good arm? How in the world can you come to that conclusion? He has a freakin cannon for an arm!

Watch this video clip and tell me how the heck you conclude he does not have a good arm:

Just because a guy can gun it doesn't mean he has a good arm.

He is not accurate, it takes accuracy to have a good arm.

He also has trouble reading defenses. It takes an ability to read the defense to turn a good arm into a great arm. That's why Max has a huge advantage at QB over Locker.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Locker. He is exciting and fun to watch. But unless he learns to think at QB instead of just running, durability will be a big issue.

Locker has the athleticism to be a QB like Vince Young or Steve McNair. But I just doubt he'll ever reach that level.

....from what I've seen, I hardly think the South has a monopoly on bigotry or intolerance. Just my opinion. Anyway, I don't mean to get this thread off topic, but I had to respond.

When I moved to South Carolina back in 1990, I found to my surprise that I had to overcome my own, unrealized bigotry. For example, it took me a couple of years to get comfortable with situations where most of the people around me were black. Or to get over bad assumptions like "Why are all these black people out here in the countryside--aren't they all supposed to be in some rundown part of the city?"

Until I overcame my own prejudices, I decided to hold off cataloging everyone else's.

Locker was only a Freshman last year. I'm willing to bet that his accuracy will improve every year. Not to say that he's going to be bullseye (marvel comics reference ) next year, but by the time he is a junior or senior he is going to be scary on both fronts.

I would agree Hengst. He was just a freshman, who got thrown to the wolves. He should improve, just how much remains to be seen. He also took some vicious hits last year. That's a concern.

Another concern is the team around him. I didn't see anyone else that was playing at a high level. He needs support around him, I am just not sure that it is there. For example, Tebow made a huge improvement between Freshman and Sophomore years, so Locker could make significant improvement. It's not out of the question.

I'd love to see him turn into a Vince Young or Steve McNair. He's fun to watch. But only time will tell.

Zzzzzz...draw play, draw play, scramble left, scramble right, draw play, draw play, pitch right, pass, draw play, draw play...BORING

I admit, good arm and good speed. But not a great quarterback. Hall does not have Locker's athleticism, but he'll pick the UW defense apart. But the biggest problem for UW will be Unga.
