So far I have heard no good logic why the combine should stay. What do bench reps and a 40 yard dash have to deal with anything? K if it came down to bench reps, Travis Bright is the greatest offensive linemen to strap it up in the history of the game. And the 40 yd dash, give me a break! how many times do you run in a straight line for 40 yards, not often. Sure I say do the drills to get better, but that doesn't measure much for me. Watch the game film, you will get all you need. I can tell ya Glenn Dorsey, D-MAC, Jake Long, etc. Would be in the top 10 without a combine...

And Todd for commish, it was just a joke. I just thought that he made sense with what he was saying.

And if you still want your pro days, thats cool. I say get to know the scouts and run POSITION SPECIFIC drills. But don't give me all this Bull Crap that because a guy has a tremendous track speed that he will be a great pro. I remember Rodney Wilkerson, He'd leave everyone in the dust and couldn't catch a cold in Antarctica!

Infact I remember that even Bryan Kehl said he was sick of training for the combines and stuff because they were like training for track meets and he was ready to get back to playing football, instead of all of that.

So here are my feelings on the topic then:

Pro Days: Keep, good to mingle with scouts and get your name out there

Combine: Eliminate, its pointless...

Earlier Draft: A definite, That way players can get acquainted with their new teams and do their offseason training at their nfl teams state-of-the-art facilities. Tell me something, what does a few months of speculation even solve...Most teams knew who they wanted in the draft months ago so don't try to sell me your QVC Bull CRAP that teams need more time to decide and scout the players out!

Todd for Commish: Its a unanimous heck no! Sorry Todd, I guess my attempt to get you into power to set you up for your presidential run in 2012 was a failure...(Of course thats a joke too, though I do like him over Clinton and Obama...And he has a sweeter mullet than Hillary!!!)

LOL cut me some slack, I have typos all the time. I am NOT claiming to be bryan kehl, though the dude is a beast.

Also I hope people don't get the wrong idea about me, I just like to bring up subjects that would cause a stir. I even love the combine and scouting and stuff that leads up to the draft as a fan, it gives me something to fill my idol time... But I really have wondered how all this stuff actually translates to the pro game. I mean sure if you are fast and strong in the combine workouts you have potential to be a good pro...But they can't really test the players instincts and stuff at the combine the way they can if they watch film or see games in person.

I apologize if I have pissed anyone off, I just like to cause a stir sometimes and make things interesting. So cut me some slack, I'm a cougar fan just like all of you...
