BYU's QB of the future? 2 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Zach McMahon, Jim's son is a QB for his high school team. I don't know if he is any good, but he looks a little like his dad. If he has the same arm strength and pizzaz as his dad, then we would welcome him with open arms, given he could follow the honor code.

First, I would love to see another McMahon at BYU. Jimmy Mac is the greatest QB EVER at the Y. Having Mac Jr playing with a Kozlowski would be way dejavu. However, we shouldn't paint him the same colors as his Dad (good or bad -- whatever you think of Mac). Let him be who he is. I have no inside information, but I remember reading years ago that Jim married an LDS girl and the kids are LDS. Interesting if true, no?

Anyway, if the kid is a gamer, it would be great to have him donning the blue and white.

Jake Heaps is a guy I'd really like to get.

On the Mcmahon point, we might bave a better chance to get a Whittinggam before we'd get a McMahon to come to BYU.

The article is dated August, 2007, so he will be a senior this coming fall. I would think we would have heard something more about him if we were recruiting him for 2009.

Just remember that Austin was a good ball player, but he was definitely not his dad. Just because someone is the son of a great player does not automatically make them great.

I assume you are talking about Austin Ainge and not Austin Collie.
