6. There is a mention in the New Mexico team preview about how quarterback Donovan Porterie could challenge BYU's Max Hall and Utah's Brian Johnson for all-conference honors in the Mountain West.

Porterie wasn't half the QB that Hall was last year. I'm not sure why they believe he'll suddenly leapfrog Hall this year. IMO, he's overrated. His play against BYU last year was awful. If Johnson is healthy, he's a better QB than Porterie.

"Challenge" is the key word here...Anyone can challenge. I think the NM media guide's reference that its QB might challenge Hall is, in truth, in the category of Monty Python's challenge at that French occupied castle....

Exactly, Porterie's mother was a hamster and his father smelt of elderberries. Hall is going to fart in his general direction right after he blows rasberries while slapping the top of his head.
