What a dumb article. In his next article he's going to predict the field of 64 for next year's basketball tourney and after that he'll tell us who will win the next 10 presidential elections. I will bet if you print out his picks and compare them later this year to the real games, not one will be accurate. Dumb.

Sounds like he's bored with the off-season too. Unfortunately his pen appears to still be working long after his brain (assuming he has one) quit.

I read almost all the way through it until I realized it was from 2007... So, let's check how well his predictions come throught. Here's just one of the questions, along with his answer.

Which coaches are the early favorites to be fired after 2007 -- specifically in the Pac 10? Did UCLA's Karl Dorrel's fluke win over USC save his job, or just postpone the inevitable? Is the honeymoon over for Willingham, or more pointedly, Arizona's Stoops? - BC

A: UCLA was rebuilding last season and still beat USC and went to a bowl, is going to be among the top 15 in the nation this season, and won ten games two years ago. Fire Dorrell for what, for not making his program USC right away? If that was the criteria, roughly 115 other programs would be looking for coaches this year.

The guy doesn't have a clue or he is a HUGE BCS homer. He doesn't even give ANY non-BCS team a chance at a BCS game next year. And to pick BYU to finish four (being that NM is where the fourth place team plays) is just unbelievable. As for picking the NCAA tourny. I doubt he could pick this year's teams!

PF: Yeah I'll pick Duke to win the championship over NC.

PF: They have a pretty good team but I don't think they will get past NC State.
guy #2: The tourney is already over. Kansas won. NC State didn't even make it.
PF: No I don't think NC State will make to the finals. I think they will lose to Maryland in the quarters.

PF: You bet it's over. Duke is going walk all the way through. They will only have two tough games. Against Wake in the semi's and NC in the finals.
guy #2: You like the ACC don't you?
PF: Well, nothing above the other conferences.
guy #1: You only have ACC teams in the elite eight.
PF: Well, they are the best eight teams in the basketball.
