Great Post! I think the win is the most important thing to consider, I would like to see us go to the Orange Bowl. Oklahoma or any BIG 12 school will be a much bigger challenge that the sissy schools from the ACC. A BCS win is most important in our fight for BCS respect.

Agree with the comment on ratings (that expected ratings influence selection), except for the occasionaly very compelling story line of the cinderella ala Boise St.

A compelling story line is hard to predict...

I think it is funny that we are calling the ACC teams sissys and saying we could be beat them yet we are sooo concerned about Wash. who went 3-9 last year and UCLA who went 6-6 last year. Don't get me wrong I believe we could beat an ACC team but if so we need to not be so nervous about UW or UCLA. I have said this often that unless we beat UCLA and UW by two
TDs I will be nervous the rest of the season, no matter the opp. especailly if UW gets trounced by OR.

While the Orange Bowl opponent may be a "lesser-quality" team, I keep wondering how BYU plays across 2 time zones. Our record going back east is abysmal. I'm not so much worried about the starters, but the 2nd and 3rd stringers who tend to "underperform" the further away from home they are.

I would prefer the Fiesta Bowl (and not just because I live in AZ ) but because more fan support would make the players feel more "at home".
