There have been other odd magazine/website article mentions this off-season, such as Utah winning the MWC this year, Utah going to the Las Vegas Bowl, and even Utah going to a BCS Bowl.
My question is: What do people really think Utah's record will be this year? Here's mine-

UNLV- WIN
at Utah State- WIN
at Air Force- TOSS-UP/WIN
Weber State- WIN
Oregon State- TOSS-UP/LOSS
at Wyoming- TOSS-UP/WIN

So I'm gonna say 9-3, which would be just about good enough to get them ranked (especially with a bowl win). But they should be good enough or inconsistent enough to finish anywhere from 12-0 to 5-7.
The prediction could be true when all is said and done. Then again, Utah State could win the WAC. No other ranking magazine has put the Utes in the top 25, let alone in the top 15. This guy is off base. I do think the Utes are going to be good this year, but they do not warrant any pre-season hype.

Utah also has a habit of losing one game the shouldn't (i.e. UNLV last year.) I won't be surprised if CSU beats them this year.
I'm concerned about Utah. I think if they get their mental problems worked out, they could be very good, at least offensively. They have some issues to resolve on the defensive side of the ball, especially after Kafusi's issues. But I still think they have the potential to cause us problems in November. Having said that, I don't know why they would get that kind of pre-season ranking. Based on last year, I don't see how it is warranted.
i saw that ranking, and made a mental note to ignore that site forever. this guy is either ill-informed, or a homer. plus if they lose any more d-lineman, they are going to get run over all season.

it is a rivalry game, and more often then not it will be a difficult game. still byu is on a roll, and there is no reason to expect a loss, even though it is always a possibility.
