I wish this article could have been written with more tact. It is so awkward to read that she was James' girlfriend in one breath, that the accident occured turning into Squaw Peak with another male after midnight, and then to read she was still waiting for him. I think it took away from the focus, which should have been to mourn the tragic loss of a fine BYU athlete. I can't fathom what this writer was thinking. Total lack of professionalism.

Totally agree. Just looking at the first comment, whether or not the situation was as the article insinuated, that is the first impression that people are going to get. I hope Lark never sees the article.

McGregor, I totally agree. One thing that particularly bothers me is the phrase "t-boned" when describing a fatal car accident. I believe it is an insensitive term that puts the emphasis more on the violent entertainment of the crash than the human life taken by it. It seems lately reporters are using phrases like this more and more and it is very insensitive. Do these reporters not go to college anymore to get their jobs? I would think they would be talk more entiquette and communication skill than that? Anyway, getting back to the topic....what a sad story. The instant I read it my heart ached. What a beautiful and talented young woman to be taken so early. My prayers are with her family and friends.

I also like the fact that there was no mention of what happened to the driver and/or passengers of the other car. Great reporting there.
