It seems there are two types of "realists"

jmchess1 = theoretical realist (craves approval, refuses to be called a homer, unless of course BYU beats LSU, Ohio S., USC, Florida, and Oklahoma in the same season.)

detmer4prez = empirical realist (self-assured, needs no one's approval to be a faithful fan when facing a challenge)
