This brings up an interesting question. What about Hague? Hague should be back for next season, and he was originally supposed to play safety. Do you think he stays at RB? My guess is with his good rushing preformances as a freshman that he will probably stay on offense.

Also, with Nelson on his way to BYU I would be surprised if Covey doesn't slide over to safety or cornerback as well.

I believe they had Covey at Safety before his mission, and it wasn't until the QB crunch that he switched to the other side because of his previous experience at that position in high school (I think he was recruited as an athlete, meaning he could do either or)

First of all, Bradley is not a safety but is still at Boundary CB and will be in a battle for the starting job. I think that it is clear that we are much deeper at WR with the likes of Hafoka, Chambers and Jaussi being super talented backups to Collie and Reed. Then we also have Jacobsen, Smith and Mathews on missions.

This move seems to be intriguing as Ashworth and his athleticism would have a much better shot at the NFL as a safety then as a WR. Although he is a good WR, I cannot see him ever being more than a second option even in college. However, he seems to have all the abilities to be a true standout at SS. I really think that the goal of the entire football team is to get faster, especially on D. Put CBs or WRs at safety, safeties at LB and so on. Pendleton should be a great OLB prospect with true safety type of athleticism.

I know Luke pretty well because we were mission comps and also buds from football camps back in high school. Hes a great athlete, I've seen him play firsthand. He played Linebacker back high school, so it wouldn't be new for him to play defense. I definitely think his athleticism and toughness is more geared for the defensive side of the ball. And though he is my good friend, I don't see him as a top 6 or even 7 WR on this team. But he does have great hands and pretty good speed so I say redshirt him this season and let him transition his game to safety. He could provide some good depth and be a special teams contributor for the next 3 years. And whoever threw out the NFL potential for Luke...The kid is like my brother, but no chance does he make the nfl. I'd love to see that, but I just don't see that happening unless he transforms into an all-american safety...
