I don't think Xavier's not coming to BYU, if it happens, will be a suprise to too many people on this board, nor do I think it reflects poorly in any way on Bronco's recruiting or his staff. I just don't think he has the desire to come to BYU. Not much Bronco or his staff can do to change that. I think it would be silly for BYU to give a scolarship to someone who didn't deserve it just to improve their chances on a future recruit (i.e. I think the Teo kids can really play, it doesn't sound like Moe could cut it.) Finally this is the only thing I've ever heard about anyone on BYU's staff promising a recruit playing time. I have heard very positive things about the way Bronco recruits.
Oh one more thing, what possible reason could Eathyn M have to not come back to BYU after his mission? He got lots of playing time his first year, and would be returning as a hero. It doesn't make any sense for him not to come back.

I don't really care what sources you have. When it comes to recruiting, until the kid signs, nobody, and I mean nobody knows where he'll go. Kaveinga orally committed to BYU, told his family he was coming, and then signed with USC to many people's disbelief who had good sources. So unless Xavier told you himself that there's no way he's coming to BYU then I couldn't care less about your source.

Eathyn M might just decide to come back to BYU around 18 months on the mission. Saying that Xavier is not coming to BYU may be true, then again, he may go to Dixie State. BYU is doing an excellent job of recruiting and the list shows it. BYU has 3 recruits in the top 300 that have already committed. There is only 1 recruit on the list committed and going to a non BCS program. 102 - AJ Dugat to TCU. If I am missing something please let me know, but posting a bunch of absolutes without a shred of evidence will get people angry on this board.

it appeares that cougsince75 has some exposure to timpview football. that would explain the d moe comments. he is a great lb, and probably has d-1 talent. the reason that he is at dixie and not at a d-1 school is not talent. it's because he's short. most lb's are 6-1 to 6-4. moe is probably 5-9 or 10. that is why there was no offer, and everyone including him knows that.
i have also been saying for months that "x" won't end up a cougar, but the way i see it, it has more to do with who is recruiting him, not how byu is recruiting him, or who byu didn't offer. from what is understand, byu is still in the picture, but fading. if i were to lay money, i would put it on lsu.

For some reason, people are thinking that I am trying to discredit Cornellcoug. I am doing no such thing. Did I state to give everyone that was a region four MVP a scholarship? No. Did I ever state that EVERY RECRUIT is promised something and then felt betrayed? No. I am sorry for not being specific in my posts. I want nothing more than for BYU to land all the top recruits that are interested. I want us to be a national powerhouse every year. I support everyone on this post board and have checked this board every day for the past year. Most of my views came from just a few recruits and not from everyone. Not everyone is going to get the same pitch from all the coaches (not even Bronco can regulate 100% what is said to recruits). I am fully invested in BYU and should have just kept this to Xavier. He is a great kid and I would LOVE to see him come here but the actuality of it all is that he isn't. Please don't look at a persons number of posts and pass judgment. Some of the wealthiest and smartest people I have ever met never looked or acted the part. I sometimes from reading posts get the feeling that people just say what they think everyone wants them to hear and I am not that sort of individual. GO BYU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No one thinks you are trying to discredit CornellCoug. We are saying that given the choice of whom to believe, right now we choose him over you. Most wouldn't have been bothered by your post if you had just said that Xavier wasn't coming to the Y. But you then went on to disparage Bronco's recruiting and that you were the only one to see that it was going to fail soon. That is just crazy talk and your credibility dropped to zero at that point.
People are very accepting of new posters as long as you allow yourself time to be established as having inside info.
