Texas Tech scored 40 or more points 7 times last season. However, they lost two of those games (at OSU, 45-49 and at Texas, 43-59). They also laid a 10 point egg at Missouri (who scored 41 on them) and were upset by Colorado, 26-31.

The Raiders play AT Oklahoma, AT Kansas, and AT Texas A&M and still have to play Texas and Nebraska at home. No way that schedule leads to a top 10 ranking. They may not even win a shootout AT Nevada.

Likely end up with a 9-3 record or even 8-4. (E. Washington, SMU, UMass, and Baylor home games pad their schedule).

Didn't Simms do the same thing at Texas, show up in a limo and tell everyone he would win a National Championship. If I remember right Applewhite played more than he did while they were there together.

Clausen rolled up at the signing day in a stretch hummer limo. Yeah, tell me you don't want this kid to tank. I know that we should not wish ill will on anyone but I really think some GA's would struggle with not wishing this kid throws 29 int. and only throws one TD pass because it was tipped by a crappy CB who should have intercepted it. But considering he will be pulled before he can complete his 29th interception, unfortunatly my prediction will fall short.

How can any of these be taken seriously with Notre Dame in there and the Buckeyes at #2? How many time will they have to get spanked in the BCS NC game before people realize thay aren't that good and usually have an easy SCHDL. I guess with Michgan not making the list someone from that conf. had to get more love than they ever merit. OSU has just taken over Michigan's overated status.

gm81 I agree with most of what you said although I do think Auburn and West Virginia are that good especially considering this is a Pre-season poll. The talent is there in both places WVU might struggle due to coaching chchanges but that is yet to be seen. Clemson should definately be lower, #6 is rediculous.
