My dream Byu coaching team:

HC = Bronco Mendenhall
OC = Norm Chow back as the OC.
OL = Anae to be the O-Line coach, was a great BYU lineman and did great at Texas Tech
RB = Reynolds does a great job as the RB and asst. coach, if it aint' broke don't fix it. Reynolds is a great asset to the program.
QB = Steve Sark. as the QB coach. My fav. childhood QB at byu. Has great street credit coming out of USC.
TE = Coach Crowton
WR = Coach Crowton again, give him all the recievers. and he can recruit as good or better than anyone coach.
DC = Coach Hill should be the D coord. as well as the secondary coach.
DL = Keep Kafusi as the D-line coach. Keep the family name, and the poly line rolling(with Kafusi, chow nuff said)
LB = Tidwell and Lamb have produced some great talent. Keep them here.
Thats my dream coaching team for the cougs. They could rack in some major recuits. With Sark and Chow from USC, and Crowton from LSU, thats like 3 heismans and what 4 NC, maybe 5 put together?

when crowton was here, his offensive coordinater won the OC of the year in 2001. What is his name? I'd prefer him at WR or TE positions.

Gary was the OC when he coached. Similar to Bronco being the HC and DC.

I'm game. My premise is combining coaching experience with guys with some playing cred:

Head Coach--Bronco Mendenhall

Off. Coordinator--Steve Sarkisian (I'd prefer him to Chow b/c of his youth and his experience as assistant head coach at USC)
QB--Ty Detmer (No one knows the QB position better than him)
OL--Robert Anae
WR/TE--Ben Cahoon (or Chad Lewis) (Cahoon is quite the precise route runner)
RB--Lance Reynolds

Def. Coordinator--DeWayne Walker
DL--Steve Kafusi
LB--Rob Morris (It would be nice to see him pass on his knowledge from his years in the NFL)
DB--Jaime Hill

Special Teams/Recruiting Specialist--Brandon Doman

I may be a bit of a sentimentalist (new word? my own?) but I would have LaVell in there somewhere, maybe AD? Co-Head Coach? Mentor just for old times sake? I don't know. Somewhere. Other than that and maybe a try at Detmer as QB coach I can't see any changes I'd make to your list.

Norm Chow would never have survived Bronco as a Head Coach. He had worn out his welcome here and would not be welcome back. He made too many promises to players that he could not keep. Great Coach, but not right for BYU at all.
