those are good worries to have. Simply because it shows you have respect for the yewts as a fan (at least a little) and i will comfort that worry with this: Honestly, wait 3-4 games. Not only will Y fans not worry about the yewts, they will be excited for the game in november. Johnson won't be able to run-threat is gone. Mack may be healthy, but great runners hasn't been a problem agains BYU. They'll be a 5 loss team, the yewts. Each year i've noticed that it looks great for them and they just blow it. It'll be the same this year too. Instead of having the best 3 qbs in the nation, or the best WRs in the nation. This year it's the best RBs in the nation...we'll see. BYU fans worry about BYU and watch 'em roll. EVERY rivalry game seems close and can be anyone's game, but i won't break a sweat about it until rivarly week.

The Utes will be just good enough next year to give the holy war some national hype when BYU roles into it undefeated. Maybe enough hype to bring back Lew, Herbie and the boys.

But, for the third year in a row, BYU will win, but for once it won't be on a last second play this time

Remember Utah destroyed UCLA last year. I think a good indicator of Utah's potential will their games against Michigan, NM, and TCU. All those games will, of course, be played before the BYU game.

In some ways I'm more worried BYU would lose to a 2-9 Utah team than an undefeated one. Too easy to take a 2-9 opponent lightly, even though it's a huge rivalry game. It also might be easier for a 2-9 Utah team to get up for their "bowl" game.

That being said, regardless of their respective records at the end of the regular season, I hope the Cougars rename Rice-Eccles.

Let's call it LES North.

Let's give em a true LESN.

I have nothing to add, I just had to change the thread title. It was driving me crazy.
Continue as you were.

Found a pic of that yewt "dark horse". Seems to be missing a few components needed to make a serious run at it.
