Saia is on BYU's radar. I spoke with Coach Steve Kaufusi a month ago while he was visiting Hawaii. He said after his stop to Maui he was heading to Texas to see some prospects, Sosaia's name came up as of them.
**Yes, there have been a couple of Tuipulotu's that have worn the blue and white. RB Tom Tuipulotu back in the mid 80's and his younger brother RB Peter in the late 80's to early 90's. They come from a very athletic family with cousin Eric Tuipulotu and nephew Albert Tuipulotu both playing for the US Eagles Rugby team. Albert also was a stand out prep player initially playing for UW as RB and then transferred to Portland State.
These Tuipulotu's were raised devout Catholic but both Tom and Peter converting while in Provo. Tom doesn't practice anymore and is back to being "Catholic" and Peter is still keeping the faith.
