So I am selling fireworks down here in Beaver Utah today (7/3/2008) and a car pulls up and out steps John Beck. His grandparents live here in town and he was buying some stuff for the fourth. We had a short talk about old times but he was also very optimistic about Miami's season this year. He said a lot of changes have been made and he thinks that this season will run much smoother. He didn't say anything about starting but he made it seem like it was his job to lose. I did score a good looking autograph too.

that's pretty cool. What fireworks did he buy?

Let's hope he stays away from lighting them so he doesn't accidentally blow off a finger or something.

Cool! My buddy is from the Fillmore/Beaver area and he went back for the weekend. I'll tell him to keep his eyes peeled for John.

I saw Harvey Unga at the airport on Wednesday. He was walking off a plane while I was waiting for mine. I didn't run after him though cause that might have been weird.

When I was a kid my brother and I were sitting in the car while my mom was buying fireworks when Ty Detmer walked passed us and up to the stand. My brother and I jumped out of the car and walked up next to him and just stared at him. My mom recognized him and got real excited and we all got autographs.
