Oh contere, a bad jockey on a good horse can and will be beat by a good jockey on a less than good horse. Not all the time, but the jockey is as impoortant as the horse.

I disagree with Coach Crowton. This is a do or die game.

If BYU wins they will be 2-3 overall and 1-0 in conference only one game away from getting back to 0.500. But if they lose they will be 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the conference. Their confidence will be shot and they will be done for the year.

This game is huge. It will determine the direction for the rest of the year for BYU.

I agree with most of you about it although I think you're way over analyzing what he said. I'm sure he just meant that it was POSSIBLE to still win the conference with 1 loss.

Maybe what Crowton meant is that it's not a must win game because like most other coaches in the MWC, he doesn't think any of the teams will go undefeated. Funny, because it seems like Urban Meyer thinks the Utes WILL have to go undefeated to win the conference. But make no mistake, it is a must win game for BYU to have a shot at the conference title, and for Crowton to have a prayer at keeping his job. If the offense can't establish a running game against CSU, then it's a lost cause. CSU has a starting linebacker that weighs all of 183 pounds. BYU is so much more physically loaded than CSU, especially BYU's offense vs. CSU's defense, that a loss just should not happen. CSU is banged up, and while they've played a tough schedule with the exception of Montana State, they haven't shown much with a 1-3 record.
