Blue vs. White----What to Look For 2 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 9
Obviously, many of you are able to follow football more than others. I am one who is not really able to follow so closely. I would like to see what you think we should keep our eyes on as we watch the Spring game on Saturday. Tell us what you think we should be paying particular attention to. I think it would be interesting for everyone to learn what players/positions may be most interesting to watch. If anyone knows players #'s as well, that might help. Thanks guys.

I think that the annual blue white game will be more a show than anything else. Too many guys are banged up for them to go really hard. It should be fun though.

I've heard that the format won't be like a real game. Does anyone have any solid info on how they're going to play the game this year.

Since they have less than 10 offensive linemen, they'll probably just run some 11-on-11 plays, offense vs. defense and just sub in players. They can't make 2 full teams without linemen going for both teams. That would be asking a lot.

I don't mind watching #1 offense vs #1 defense. It will probably be more interesting anyway.

Hopefully we'll get to see McKay Jacobsen take a punt back for 6!!!!!

Nevermind- just read Darnell Blog that says there will be no special team stuff.

There are many things you could "keep your eyes on" while watching the spring game. You might care to look over your shoulder and gaze at the Y on Y Mountain. You might want to watch the huge teleprompter screen in the South endzone. You might want to scan the crowd looking to score a date (disregard if married). However, I feel that your time will be best spent if you keep your eyes on the game.

Seriously, pay attention to the offensive line to see if they can handle blitzing linebackers and keep the defense off of Beck. Watch the D-Line to see if they are any better at getting penetration in a pass rush than they were last year. Finally, count how many times the secondary either breaks up a pass, intercepts it, or gets burned. I think those three areas are the biggest question marks and should garner the most attention (since apparently they aren't going to play any special teams).
