I've stuck with BYU for years but i've came to the conclusion that BYU is the new Kentucky. They always play hard and do their best . . . but it's not good enough to win against good teams. Sure they can beatup on Tulsa (yet still allow 24 points) but they can't beat any good teams unless the good team self destructs.

I think the fanbase mirrors this in that there are always so many people pointing out how close they come. They do play hard and there's something to be said for effort . . .But effort doesn't make a good team, it simply means the players give a good try. To view a team as doing good because they only manage to lose by a small margin doesn't cut it! If BYU wants to win they need to drop to 1AA.

My point stands . . . BYU can't win against good teams. Sure they can pick around on the smaller teams that everyone else beats up on . . . But they've consistantly proven they can't hang with the top tier schools.
