Okay group,
Now we the realists have faced much persecution for our "realistic" views regarding our football program. I'm personally calling out bluecrew, catholic kid, dirtbiker, matalicat, etyox, and lehi cougar-who's currently waiting for his byu football newspaper clippings in the mail from his father back home while he knocks on doors. Now I understand this is difficult for many of you who wanted more than anything to prove us realists wrong. But it's not that easy. You see, we were nice to you all after the AZ game. We thoughtfully reserved our remarks in consideration of all of your sensitive feelings. But, many of you made some wrong choices when you decided to demean and ridicule us after beating an average, unranked Tulsa team (a team that is not a quality opponent on a national scale).
Don't come to me crying with excuses or reasons as to why we lost. The point is is that we lost after a valiant effort. The play calling was poor and we still are not a disciplined team. We were fortunate that BC turned the ball over so many times. But as I said long ago, we would not start the season better than 2 and 2. Now that we have validated all of our earlier predictions and proved to all of you haters that we are truly the experts, we will be accepting formal apologies for your ignorant comments, hateful private messages, and any other offenses you have made towards us. Thank you for your time and we will be waiting to hear from you.

We lost. But I'm proud of our team. Going into OT with a Top25 team and playing on the east coast - we showed we can play with anyone. We just need to learn how to win the close ones, and have that killer instinct.

faithfullonghornOkay group,
... Now that we have validated all of our earlier predictions and proved to all of you haters that we are truly the experts...
Thanks for the humor to lighten things up. Yeah. You guys predicted we'd take the #23 team into double OT in their house. Right. You guys predicted BYU would play BETTER than BC but still lose. You are as lucky as the BC d-back who's mama's brother paid the MWC refs to make a call they weren't supposed to make (according to the rules) if there was any doubt.
You guys know it all. Enjoy it while you can. So Mr. Expert & co. Can you predict that BYU will lose to USU because its a FRIDAY game. The persecution you talk about is just what you bring on yourself when you try to put your own "smarts" ahead of what BYU fans gather for--cheering for your favorite team. You want to be someone's analyst, go to school and buy a couch.

Don't know what your predictions were as I don't this forum daily and lost my old login info so I had to create a new one. But I agree that there is very poor play calling. At least on offense. It reminds me very much of the old Houston Cougars. What amazes me is the lack of emotion. It could just be me, but it seems to me like the offense is just going through the motions most of the time. Beck is amazing but also predictable . . . he's clearly talented but seems to sail the ball or get caught in the pocket when needed the most.
Disclaimer note here: Any of these guys could still run circles around me.

I actually have to agree with you here. If I could change one thing about our offense, I would inject some enthusiasm into Beck. Obviously I am not in the huddle, but it sure seems like Beck does not inspire the offense and raise people up like the great ones do.
