Gunk well said. TP's shot wasn't all that great, but he got to the basket and made some free throws, played good d and got plenty of boards.

BYU was 13-16 behind the arc, 81%. New Mexico had no chance with shooting like that.

Agree with ya Cougar Peasant...
Dang- EVERYTHING we did wrong on Wednesday, ...we did right tonight.
(except free throw shooting, but did improve) If we played all season like we did tonight, the rest of the season would be a NIGHTMARE for opposing teams. They re-bounded, they were on fire from the arch and normal 2's, plus GREAT passing. I'd rather have the game get less exciting, up 25, then down 10, that's for sure. I forgot about blocks. Trent had a couple, Miles, Cummard. Nearly perfect! Now get a W @ AF, AND @ Wyoming! Go Cougs

There is a guy who was a commenator in the 'The .Mtn' show before the BYU vs NM game said that BYU is due for a breakout for today's game and it is so true to his word.

I am glad that BYU breakout of the slump to win a good game today against NM.

I am also glad that JT and TP break out of their slump (in doing better in this game than the previous 3 games). JT was showing his confidence in the game today. TP was getting better as his best in his free throw today as well.

Now next game is Air Force and I wish somehow this will be on TV. I believe BYU will beat the Falcons on Wednesday night.

Yes, BYU and UNLV are tied at first after today's game. Air Force didn't play today. They are tied with TCU in the standings right now (ahead of NM).

Go Cougars beat the Falcons!

I felt sorry for UNM today. Talk about bad luck, getting us on our bounce-back game. Kudos to the team for picking it back up. Now let's take it on the road.

In BYU's losses to Wake Forest (by 17 points) and UNLV (29), BYU had 22 and 20 turnovers respectively.

BYU reversed the score against New Mexico, getting up on the Lobos by 20 points at halftime, leading by 34 with 8 minutes left in the game, and winning by 17. Yet, New Mexico only had 1 turnover in the first half, and 5 in the last 20 minutes.

Amazing statistic. We beat them that bad through assists, rebounds, and of course 3-point shooting percentage. But take away half of our 3s and we still win big.

Great game for the Cougars. Now let's see if we can take the same show on the road!

I thought the same thing. The way we won was pretty remarkable. We shot very well, crashed the boards, and made great passes, but in close games we better be hitting our free throws. Unless of course we go 13-16 from the 3 then it doesn't really matter, I guess.

BTW Mars, if you were wondering who's been taking your karma away, I'm not one of them.
