The Deseret Duel is a joke. The last thing I want to see is some senior executive from Deseret Bank talk to crowd after the game and hand Trent some goofy trophy to put over his head like it means something. I'd rather see Trent hoist up the 'Boot'.
Please...get this marketing crap out of the victory celebration.
I think it should be 1 pt per game played between us.
That would show which school actually won more games and in the end, won the season series.
The point system is interesting...but essentially its a subjective bias toward the different sports. I will admit though, that most people care more about the football and basketball games so the points show us more what sports we care about, not what sports should receive more points for wins.
