No, that would be BYU fans. Yewts would either be distracted by the REI in Sandy (rich fans) or by the Blue Boutique up in SLC. (more typical Yewt fans).

Haha...I was in Utah for Thanksgiving and after the BYU/Utah game my bro-in-law took me there. The place was packed with Ute fans. Every other person had a Ute shirt on.

I did some more research. Last year's game was on a Saturday and the attendance was 22,812. This year only 19,460 attended (more attended the UNLV and NM games which were both on Saturdays). In 2003-04 we played Utah on a Monday night at 10:00 pm and 22,718 attended. Interesting huh?
Another thing, two years ago we played Utah at home for our 2nd conference game and only 13,000 showed up, mainly due to the fact that BYU was still on break. How stupid was that? I wonder who scheduled that and who agreed to that. Can't we always play Utah last and have that be on a weekend, I think that'd be ideal?
The one in 2003-04 was on Big Monday on ESPN, and their was a lot of hype for that game.

BYU should expand the student seating for the games, especially if they will be played on weeknights. College kids can stay up later.
I wholeheartedly agree. I think they could have gotten another 1,000 students to come.

A) BYU seems to always pre-emptively claim sell-outs. Those who wanted to go often shrug their shoulders and watch the game on tv, while in reality there are still tickets available. Plus, poor weather can't be helping lately for those coming in to Provo from surrounding areas.
B ) Yes, Utah should be played last in basketball as well, and on Saturday if at all possible, I certainly agree.
C) Imagine if all the BYU fans wore white, and 1/5 of the arena were Utah fans wearing red. It would look like a game at the Huntsman center. Gotta wear BLUE against the U.
D) Attendance is down for every men's basketball program than it was 20 years ago. There's just more to do now, more entertainment/technology to be found cheaper or even in the home. Getting approximately 20K to ANY basketball game is huge. The Jazz' arena ain't even that big!
