SDSU sweated out a tough win over AFA.

SDSU was not pretty in their win and I think BYU will have no problem disposing of them tomorrow, especially if BYU plays defense tomorrow like they did today.

AFA remains winless in MWC tournament play.



Watching the finish of this game reminds me why I really hate basketball at any level. It took nearly 10 mins to play out the final 10 secs of the game due to fouls, timeouts, and aggressive play. So boring and frustrating.

We should be able to take SDSU tomorrow no problem, especially if we play anywhere close like we did against CSU.

On a slightly different note, so far I am 2 for 2 on my MWC tourney predictions.

I don't think we lose to anybody (including UNLV) in this tourney if we shoot like we did today AND have the same level of D that we showed in the 2nd half.

I was encouraged by our shooting. The tourney play we experienced in Denver always had that "strange court" bounce in our shooting. I hope we can keep it going.

We shouldn't have lost to UNLV and Wake Forest by a bazillion nor should we have lost to SDSU in San Diego.

There are a lot of things BYU shouldn't do, but I can only go as far as to say that BYU will be favored. If Trent plays the whole game like he did the first half and we don't have others like Collingsworth come in and pick up the slack we'll only win if SDSU is having an average night. Wade White is the type of player that BYU has problems matching up against.

I'm very encouraged, but let's remember the goal is to win one NCAA game. and then another. etc.

PS--I think that this is the year that we do it!

Also, if we win the tournament, we may have a decent chance to jump up in the rankings because some of the ranked teams ahead of us could well lose this week in their conference tourneys.
