I certainly hope you are right and I am wrong, but we end up with another 8 seed this year. On paper we're not much better than last year's team, which had an RPI of 18 and we still got an 8 seed. Keep your fingers crossed we don't play another Xavier.

9 or 10 seed for the Cougars this year.

On another note - some people have pointed out that UNLV will probably end up with our higher seed than BYU based on their RPI - this is highly unlikely. While UNLV does have a 23 RPI and BYU a 24 at the moment, BYU is almost guaranteed a higher RPI after the North Carolina - Clemson game tomorrow - whether UNC wins or not. Plus, UNLV has zero quality wins - except two over BYU at home. BYU has a HUGE neutral location win over Louisville. BYU gets a 7, UNLV an 8 or 9.

We'll get a 7. We have some national love this year unlike this year. That makes all the difference for an at-large. Any other year it'd be an 8 or 9 at this point.

I am an eternal optimist. Unfortunately I didn't see the game last night because of that one obvious reason. I don't know how "hot" we look heading into the tourney. My bottom line is while realistically we get a seven, I truly believe we get a six. Upsets happen all over in conference tourneys. (If you can really call that an upset with the homecourt) I bet there are still a few teams ahead of us who have lost so ranking-wise we shouldn't fall too far. Top 24 logically equals a "6". Worst case in my book is a 7. With a 6 or 7 we have a nice chance to advance.
