a 39 win team that he was on. I disagree with that argument. He was hurt a lot of the season, if I'm remembering correctly, but he was on it, and played 3/4 of the season

That was cold blooded to bring up CP3's nut punch. It pissed me off when he did it and I don't condone it. However, a little context does mitigate the crime. It was the last regular season game and it was at in-state rival NC State. From the opening tip there were kids in the student section taunting CP3 with chants about his dead grandfather. For the record, his grandfather was his best friend and had been murdered only 3 years prior. Totally classless by the student section. And then there's the player that got "tapped" in the nads. That was Julius Hodge, a notorious trash talker and instigator. In the days leading up to that game it had been reported in the media that CP3 was playing with an injured left hand. Watch the video and you see Hodge grab CP3s bum hand and then squeeze it with both hands. Again, I don't condone it and it pissed me off royally, but I understand it.

The video doesn't lie: http://www.extremesportclips.com/video/1140/Chris-Paul-Punches-Julius-Hodge.html

True. I didn't say he wasn't on that team! I just said they've had a double digit improvement since last year. Even after tonight. Number one in the conference. I don't think the hornets will win the title. Or even get past the second round. But statistically CP3 has had better statistical year then Steve Nash had his two years that he won the MVP.
I'm a jazz fan. But I've been a CP3 fan since he came out of college. Anyways in my opinion. I think it should be Garnett or Chris Paul. But if Kobe takes it I'm going too puke!

Ps I'm really excited for the blue-white game tommorow! Go cougs!

Found a stat that just builds on why I think DWill is better

Deron Williams has scored 1,523 points, handed out 851 assists and shot .509 from the field this season. He has joined Magic Johnson (1986-87 and 1988-89) and Kevin Johnson (1988-89) as the only players in league history to score 1,500 points, hand out 800 assists and shoot 50 percent from the field in a single season.

http://www.nba.com/statistics/statsllc_index.html

not sure what anyone can say to try and put down that stat

I knew that there had to be a back story to it, but I was using it to show additional reasons other than size why the Jazz took Dwill over CP3. I don't think the size issue is all that important, seeing as how CP3 is not much smaller than John Stockton who did fairly well in a Jazz uniform.

And Yoot fans are deluded about their basketball program... right. Jazz fans are easily their equals and this thread proves it.

I realize you're a WF homer, but Jazz fans thinking Dwill is better than CP when even you admitted CP struggles against him hardly makes Jazz fans dilusional.
