Sorry this isn't two threads...I think. But it's late and I wanted to get some additional sports chatter on here before I retire to bed. I have two things on which to VENT!

1) Enough with the flopping! I watched most of the 2nd half and both OT's of the Suns Spurs matchup and I am so sick of watching Manu and Bell and co. flopping. I hoped the flopper left with Vlade (Floppy) Divac. About half the time it seemed the call was correct and the other half missed. If the players would just play ball and leave the theatrics to Hollywood it would be a better game. (Oh, and "T" up Mutombo every time he wags his fetchin finger too, regardless of it being directed at a specific player. It's taunting anyway you look at it.

2) Did the MTN commentators have a slow day today in order to get picked up by ESPN. I have NEVER heard worse commentating on ESPN in my life. And no disrespect intended to the ladies who frequent this board, but leave the females on the sidelines, not in the "booth". Doris was awful. She was the white Ron Boone overstating the obvious at every turn and repeating herself time and again as if we missed it because her sidekick Tom didn't give her sufficient run after the comments. Seriously, did we need her to tell us the Battier's three was just at the time they needed it? ANY basket would have been good at that point! There were 6 minutes left for crying out loud!

Okay. I'm done. I feel better now. I'm going to bed happy with that out of my system!

Go Cougs!!! and Jazz!

AMEN. I agree with everything you said. The flopping is ridiculous. Doris was awful. There are some good female sports commentators, but the ones tonight and the lady that's been doing sportscenter lately are not very good at all. Pretty exciting games across the board though.

I'll take great games and bad announcers over bad games with good announcers any day.

Mutumbo still waives his finger? I watched bits and pieces of the Jazz game, but all I ever saw out of him was passes near the basket and either stepping on the endline or being so slow that he got blocked. Tried to stay up for the rest of that game, but after watching the Wake Forest teams (Spurs, Mavs, Hornets) I had to take a break! Imagine how tired I'd have been if I'd also watched the Cougar teams!
