Agree with you here, certainly I have nothing but respect for Jared Hanson, and if Trent does as well then he will have certainly made the right decision.

Jared Hanson?

Do you mean Travis Hansen? If so, I wonder if your comment proves the contrary. I mean, he couldn't have made too much of an impression if its hard for you to remember his name.

Best of luck to Trent in whatever he decides. I don't think he's ready for the NBA. He could probably play in Europe and make decent money and it might be good for his family situation to move on from Provo.

i am back and decided to see if this trent thing is actually true. there is nothing on espn or cbssportsline that even says he has hired an agent. Dick Harmon doesn't know this yet, so whats the deal? This seems wierd to me. Trent makes me the most mad on the team but i am no idiot and would love to have him back and make a huge run next year.

For the record that jared hanson comment and the impression he left was freakin hilarious.

Okay , don't know quite where I pulled Jared from...

It also seems wierd to me, if Trent has hired and agent, why doesn't anyone else know about it?

Trent sucks, good riddance rotting in Europe. He has no game and won't last long there either.

He got more from BYU than he ever gave us. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I wonder (operating under the potentially false assumption that this rumor is true) if Trent's decision to go pro stems from advice he has received in his continued relationship with Shawn Bradley, who advised Trent against mission service if he wanted an NBA career.

You guys who think Plaisted needs more improvement in order to be a success are fooling yourselves if you think he'll get more improvement at BYU then with an NBA program to be successful as a pro. The only guys who are better off spending the extra year in college are the ones who won't make it in the NBA and need to stretch out their good careers as long as possible. If he is going to be a success in the NBA, the NBA will make him a success faster than BYU will. If he is destined to fail, then he will fail whether or not he gets another year with us.

I'm not making a judgment call as far as Plaisted is concerned- I just think that if he is going pro, then he probably weighed his options and realized that he's got about as much exposure as he's gonna get and this is his in and I think its a good decision. Its make or break and I wish him the best.
