BTW, as a die hard Suns fan it pains me to admit that the Jazz have surpassed the Suns. They have advanced further in the playoffs than the Suns have the last 2 years and have have won 5 out of the 7 games that they have played over the last 2 years.

Match-ups. Had the Suns played the Jazz first in either of the last two years, Utah would have been out in round 1, as even most Jazz fans would agree to. No shame in losing to the Spurs.

Pbbbbttt. Unlikely in the least.

First off, if Utah was out in round 1 as you assert, your hypothetical of them playing Phoenix in "either of the first two rounds" simply makes your logical ability seem primitive in the first instance.

The Jazz went 2-1 against Phoenix in the regular season, 1-0 in SLC and 1-1 in Phoenix. They won by 8 at home, and by 22 in Phoenix. They lost in Phoenix by 5.

Tell me how you take that to the logical leap of Phoenix beating Utah in round 1.

Logic says that the better team usually wins a series, and the Suns were the better team by the end of the season once Shaq had been worked into the lineup successfully (and especially after Boozer started disappearing). You can follow that logic I assume.

Do all of you Celtics in 6 people realize that game 6 would be played in LA? The Lakers haven't lost a game at home the entire post season.
I can't stand the Lakers and would love to see the C's beat them, but, the Lakers are just playing too good right now, Lakers in 6 is the way I see it going down.

Follow this logic:

Jazz after acquiring Kyle Korver: 38-12
Suns after acquiring Shaq: 18-11

or this logic if you want to go by "once he got worked into the lineup successfully"

last 10 games of the regular season:
Phoenix: 7-3 (opponents win % = .543)
Utah: 7-3 (opponents win % = .514)

or playoffs, after Boozer disappeared:
Phoenix 1-3 (opponents win % = .683)
Utah 6-6 (opponents win % = .683)

Yeah, Phoenix can pin their hats on "we lost to the team that won the championship 340 days ago in just 5 games"

But the Jazz trump them with "we lost to the team who not only beat that team in 5 games, but the team who is playing for the championship right now, not to mention we lost to them in 6 games, not 5."

In the face of facts, I just have a difficult time seeing what facts you might possibly base your absurdity upon.

Thinking it is possible is one thing--anything is possible--but to argue it would happen in the absence of any real foundation is petty.

Isn't it 2-3-2 in the finals?

Edit: Yes, game 6 would be June 17th in Boston
